Art Deco 14kt Gold Malachite & Onyx Pendant & Chain

A lovely onyx and malachite pendant necklace from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This striking pendant has a strong Deco look and is comprised of single plaque of carved onyx which hangs from a 14kt yellow gold topper. The onyx has a geometric shape with carved lines and a diamond shape in the center which is inlaid with a malachite stone. The pendant hangs from a smaller faceted onyx stone that is prong set in 14kt gold. On either side of this stone are 2 onyx beads that rest within the chain. A fine 10kt yellow gold chain that clasps in the back completes the necklace. The chain is stamped "10K" and the back of the smaller onyx stone is marked "WL". The piece has a fantastic Art Deco look and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The geometric onyx plaque pendant measures 2 1/8" tall, a little more than 1 1/4" at the widest point and has a depth of a 1/4". The onyx beads have a diameter of approximately 5.75mm. The chain measures 21" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the onyx pendant and chain is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the malachite stone, onyx plaque or beads or to the gold setting or chain. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
