A lovely and unusual enamel watch from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous watch is made of 14kt yellow gold and portrays the shape of an open winged butterfly. The butterfly has a wonderful inlaid enamel design and a round clock belly. The enameling is black and white in color and covers the entire face in an intricate and fantastic design. A simple black ribbon weaves through loops on the back of the watch and clasps at a gold hook and snap. The watch face is cream in color and has dark navy numbers and details. On the back are the marks "SUNSET WATCH C. CO" and "PAT PEND". The black ribbon band is easily adjustable to fit most wrist sizes tightly. The wrist shown in the pictures is a small sized wrist. It's a very special piece that looks simply marvelous on. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurement: This butterfly watch face measures approximately 1 1/2" tall, 3/4" wide and has a depth of a little more than 1/4". The black ribbon band can be adjusted in size with the largest interior diameter measuring approximately 2 1/2".

Condition: The overall condition of the watch is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the enameled face or to the gold case. The clasp is secure and in good working condition. Watches of this era should be cleaned and oiled periodically and at this time, the watch is in fine working order and keeping good time.
