Art Deco 18kt Black & Green Enamel Snake Bracelet
A spectacular bracelet from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This wonderful piece portrays the coiled body of a charming snake and is made of 18kt yellow gold. It consists of black and emerald green enameled rectangular links that are attached to a thick bended 18kt gold wire. Each link is moveable and depicts the snakes vibrant scales. The twisted tail is the last link and has a complimentary green and black pattern. The long neck is also one piece with a detailed pattern and red enamel eyes. The detail of the bracelet is wonderful with the scale-like underbelly and a slithering gold tongue which pokes out of his open mouth. The bracelet wraps nicely around a small to average size wrist 1 1/2 times. On the bottom of the snakes head is the marking "PATENT LOTOS 18 CT". A fabulous piece for both the snake lover and the Art Deco collector!
Measurement: If the bracelet were to be uncoiled, the bracelet would measure approximately 9 3/4" in length. When coiled, the inside diameter in the center of the bracelet is approximately 1 3/4". Each link measures approximately 1/4" long and a little less than 1/4" wide. The head measures approximately 1" long and the curved tail measures approximately 5/8" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There is one panel where the center green enamel is chipped, which could easily be repaired.
