Art Deco 18kt Gold Diamond Step-Up Engage Ring .50ct
A wonderful diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful engagement ring has a single old European Cut diamond stone, which sits in a fabulous "step-up" 18kt white gold setting. The stone, which is prong set in a box setting, has I color, SI2 clarity and a total weight of 0.50ct. The "step-up" mounting has milgrained and filigree details on its sides and resting within the "steps" are 6 additional sparkling diamonds. All 6 diamonds are bead set in a box setting and have an approximate total weight of .10ct tw. The mounting is simply wonderful with beautiful filigree wirework and an etched design. The overall total diamond weight of the ring is approximately .60ct tw. The underside of the band is stamped “18K”. The ring was appraised by an accredited, independent Gemologist in September 2012 and has a retail replacement value of $3,500.00. It is an absolutely gorgeous piece and would make a perfect engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.25 but it could easily be re-sized. When worn, it sits 1/4" atop the finger.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
