Art Deco 18kt Diamond & Sapphire Engage Ring .44ct
A lovely diamond and sapphire engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece has a prong set diamond stone that rests in the center of an octagonal-like box setting which is surrounded by an open channel. The diamond, which is an old European Cut, has an approximate total weight of .44ct tw and is set in the lovely 18kt white gold setting. The color of the stone is I and the clarity is VS2. Set on the shoulders of the band is a bead set, single cut diamond. The two diamonds have a total weight of .02ct tw, color in the H-I range, and clarity in the VS range. Two marquise cut sapphires rest on each side of the diamonds and filigree wirework on both sides makes the mounting of this ring absolutely fabulous! The frame surrounding the center diamond displays a delicate floral motif and a carved design carries around the entire band. The shank of the ring is stamped “18K". The ring was appraised by an accredited and independent Gemologist in September 2012 and has a stated retail replacement value of $3,800.00. It is an exquisite ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 6.75 but it could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and all of the stones are intact.
