Art Deco Fahrner Sterling Enamel Onyx & Marcasite Ring

Product SKU

A wonderful Theodor Fahrner enamel and onyx ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era. This beautiful piece is made of sterling silver and has a large rectangular face. The surface of the ring is covered in matte, burnt red enameling and in the lower left and upper right corner are rectangular cabochon onyx stones. Scattered throughout the ring are sparkling marcasites which are set within triangular shapes. The band of the ring has a lovely etched design that adds to the look of the ring. The underside of the band is stamped with the Theodor Fahrner hallmark and "DEA 935". It is a stunning and very unusually piece and would make a fabulous addition to any Fahrner collection!

Measurements: The rectangular shaped face of the ring measures slightly more than 1/2" wide, 1" tall and has a depth of less than 1/8". The ring has a finger size 6 but it could easily be resized.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling setting, onyx and all of the marcasite stones are intact. There is normal surface wear to the enameling which is hardly noticeable when the ring is worn. A natural patina can be found on the surface of the silver which could be polished out if desired.
