Fabulous and fun Japanese artistry! This charming necklace is of Japanese descent and is approximately from the 1920's. Representing the Seven Gods of Good Fortune of Japanese mythology, it is comprised of 7 individual hand-carved ivory Japanese male and female faces which rest in a silver setting. Each face is unique and different and has a charming and detailed carved face which represents the Seven Lucky Gods. The creamy color and the texture of the ivory is simply beautiful. The 7 ivory pieces are connected by silver links and come together at a single silver link chain. There are no markings on the necklace. Great for any collector!

Measurements: The necklace is approximately 15 3/4" long. The links that are between each face measure approximately 1/4". The faces range slightly in size from 1" long by 7/8" wide being the smallest to 1 1/8" long by 1 1/8" wide being the largest. They are all about 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the ivory or to the silver. The barrel clasp is secure and in good working condition.
