Art Deco Platinum & Diamond Engagement Ring w/Hearts
A lovely diamond engagement ring from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This beautiful piece has a four prong set diamond stone that rests in the center of an octagonal box setting. The diamond, which is an old European Cut, has an approximate total weight of .68ctw and is set in the lovely platinum setting. The color of the stone is H and the clarity is VS2. Filigree wirework and ornate carving on the shoulders and side makes the mounting of this ring absolutely fabulous. Set within a heart shaped setting and resting on each shoulder is a round cut diamond. These 2 stones have a total approximate weight of 0.04ct, H-I color range, and VS clarity range. The ring was appraised by an accredited and independent Gemologist in February 2013 and has a stated retail replacement value of $5,500.00. It is an exquisite ring and would make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size 5.75 but it could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and the stones are intact.
