Art Deco Platinum Diamond & Sapphire Heart Watch

A lovely and unusual platinum watch from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This fabulous watch is made of platinum and portrays the shape of a heart. The heart-shaped watch face has a wonderful and feminine milgrained design that is encrusted with diamonds and sapphires. The round clock belly has a white face with painted black numbers and a crystal face. The watch has a simple black leather band that is adjustable. On the underside of the platinum watch is the hand engraved phrase "To DORTHY From Mother". The black leather band is easily adjustable to fit most wrist sizes tightly. The wrist shown in the pictures is a small sized wrist. It's a very special piece that looks simply marvelous on. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurement: This heart-shaped watch face measures approximately 1" tall, 1 1/4" wide and has a depth of a little less than 3/8". The black leather band can be adjusted in size with the largest interior diameter measuring approximately 2 1/2".

Condition: The overall condition of the watch is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum case and all of the diamonds and sapphires are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition. Watches of this era should be cleaned and oiled periodically and at this time, the watch is in fine working order and keeping good time.
