Art Deco Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring .88ct
An absolutely exquisite diamond engagement ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! The center diamond stone, which is an old European Cut, has a total weight of .88ct and is set in a lovely platinum setting. The color of the stone is H-I and the clarity is SI2. The diamond is set in a 4 triple-prong setting and rests high above the finger. Set within the mounting are 4 additional Single Cut diamonds, 2 on each shoulder of the mounting. These diamonds are prong set with H-I color range and VS clarity range. The ring was appraised by an accredited, independent Gemologist in August 2012 and has a stated retail replacement value of $7,000.00. On the inside shank is the marking "PLAT". It is an absolutely magnificent diamond and would make a beautiful engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring is a finger size of a small size 6.5 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum or to the diamonds, all of which are intact.
