Art Deco Platinum Unheated Sapphire Diamond Ring 1.75ct
An absolutely exquisite sapphire and diamond from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! The center sapphire stone, which is a faceted oval Cut, has a total approximate weight of 1.75ct tw. It is set in the center of an absolutely stunning and ornate platinum setting that is detailed with fine wirework and accented with sparkling diamonds and calibrated sapphires. The stone has absolutely wonderful color and quality and has been tested by the American Gemological Laboratories to be a natural, unheated sapphire stone. The stone is bezel set in an inlaid-like fashion within the mounting. Four rays of calibrated sapphire stones burst from the center stone carrying onto the shoulders of the ring. A background of sparkling diamonds rest within the sapphire design, completing the wonderful look perfectly. These accent diamonds have a total approximate weight of .60ct tw The ring comes with an appraisal by an independent and accredited Gemologist. Often replicated and reproduced, this amazing and unusual style of ring is an original from the 1920's. Measurements: The ring has a finger size of a generous size 6.5 but it could easily be re-sized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sapphire stone or to the platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
