Art Deco Silver, Enamel & Marcasite Earring & Pin Set
A lovely pin and earring set from the Art Deco (ca1920) era! This silver set is comprised of a pair of earrings and a complimenting pin. All three pieces depict a wonderful enamel and marcasite design. Each earring has a very Deco, geometric shape which has a slightly 3-dimensional look. Black and red enameling details each earring as well as hand-set marcasites and 2 small onyx stones. The earrings hang from hinged wires that are detailed with a single marcasite stone and marked "835". The pin portrays a complementary design of red and black enameling and marcasites. At the center are 4 French paste stones that add wonderful, sparkling detail to the pin. On the back of the pin is a secure pin clasp. Each piece is simply lovely and would make a great addition to any collection.
Measurements: The pin measures a little less than 1 1/2" wide, 1" tall and 1/8" deep. Each earring hangs 1 3/4" long, is a little less than 3/4" wide and has a depth of 1/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver or enameling and all of the marcasites, onyx and French paste are intact. The earring wires and pin clasp are secure and in good working condition.
