Art Deco Large Sterling Carved Coral Ring w/Floral Motif
An unusual coral ring from the late Art Deco (ca1930) era! This striking piece is made of sterling silver ring and has a hand carved coral stone bezel set in its center. The carving is quite intricate, and displays a lovely scrolled design on all sides of the piece. The sterling mounting, which sits high about the finger, depicts a feminine floral motif and on each shoulder of the natural coral is a small Buddha. The coral is a wonderful, orange color with naturally occurring lightness. This fabulous ring would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The coral sits 1/4” above the sterling mounting and has a diameter of about 5/8”. The entire ring sits slightly more than 1/2" above the finger. The ring has a finger size of 6.5, but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver mounting or to the natural coral stone.
