An absolutely magnificent flip ring from the Victorian (ca1900) era! This gorgeous piece has a very unusual and wonderful design. Made of 10kt yellow gold, the ring has a nice sized emerald cut amethyst center stone. which is bezel set in a gold frame The stone is beautifully faceted and has luscious purple coloring. The center stone flips to reveal a carved and painted skull and crossbones on the other side. A single diamond is set at the center of the skull side and each shoulder of the ring is a lovely carved floral design. The underside of the band is stamped "ESEMCO", “PATENTED”, and “10KT”. This stunning ring would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurement: Encased in the gold setting, the amethyst stone measures a little more than 3/8" tall, slightly less than 3/8" wide and slightly more than 1/8" in depth. The ring has a finger size 7.5 but could easily be resized if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is great. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting and the amethyst stone is intact. The center piece flips easily and stays securely locked in place.
