Arts & Crafts Sterling Blister Pearl & Citrine Pendant
A fantastic pendant from the Arts and Crafts (ca1910) era! The piece, which is made of sterling silver, depicts a dripping pendant whcih is detailed with cabochon citrine stones and a pearl. The piece begins with a single cabochon citrine stone that attaches at the center of a sterling chain. At the center of the pendant is a gorgeous, blister pearl, which is bezel set within the sterling setting. A curved arc rests atop the blister pearl which is comprised of flat sterling discs with a star stamp in the middle of each. Dangling from the pendant are three additional cabochon citrine stones, with the center stone hanging the longest. The citrine stones have fabulous coloring, with hues of brown and orange, while the pearl has a lovely cream color. Found throughout the pendant, is unique sterling wirework, which depicts a tree-like image. The pendant hangs from a simple sterling chain and has a secure hook clasp. This piece has a beautiful design and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 2" long, 1 1/2" at the widest point and slightly more than 1/4" at the thickest point. The chain measures 17" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling silver setting, and the clasp is secure. The blister pearl and all of the citrine stones are intact.
