Early Victorian Silver Topped Rose Cut Diamond Starburst Pin
A gorgeous diamond starburst pin from the early Victorian (ca1850) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of 49 old Rose Cut diamonds that surround a single larger center stone which weighs approximately .75ct tw. The diamonds are set in a sterling silver topped 14kt yellow gold setting which was a common style for the Victorian era. It has a wonderful, slightly convex shape with a fabulous 3-dimensional look. The diamonds are both bead set and prong set and range in size. It is a magnificent piece and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pin measures approximately 1 3/8" wide and 1 3/8" tall with an approximate depth of 5/8".
Condition: The overall condition of the pin is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the sterling topped gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
