Early Victorian Sterling & 18kt Diamond Sunburst Pendant 2ctw
A gorgeous diamond sunburst pendant from the early Victorian (ca1830) era! This beautiful piece is comprised of 40 sparkling diamonds that surround a single larger center stone. The diamonds are prong set in a sterling silver topped 18kt yellow gold setting, which has a closed back and the pendant hangs from a complimentary bail that holds 2 additional diamonds. The old Mine and Rose Cut diamonds have a total approximate diamond weight of 2.00ct tw with the center stone weighing approximately .80ct. The pendant has a wonderful convex shape and the diamonds sparkle beautifully. It is a lovely piece and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 1 3/8" long, is 7/8” at the widest point and has a depth of 1/8”.
Condition: The overall condition of the sunburst is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver topped gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact.
