An absolutely gorgeous diamond horseshoe necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! This beautiful horseshoe pendant is made of 18kt yellow gold, topped in platinum and is encrusted with 33 old European Cut diamonds, which graduate slightly in size. Prong set, the diamonds have a total weight of approximately 3.01ct tw, a color in the H-J range, and SI1 clarity range. The piece was originally a pin and has been converted to a stunning pendant. The tips of the horseshoe have 2 small rings where a modern platinum chain is attached. The pendant was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in July 2012 and has a state retail replacement value of $8,500.00. A real beauty, this stunning piece would look lovely worn alone or with other pendants!

Measurements: The horseshoe measures slightly less than 1 5/8" tall, 1 1/2" at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/8". The chain measures approximately 20 1/2" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the horseshoe is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
