Edwardian Platinum & 18kt Diamond & Sapphire Ring
A stunning diamond and sapphire ring from the Edwardian (ca1900) era! This gorgeous ring is made of 18kt yellow gold which is topped in platinum where the stones are set. A single, cushion cut sapphire stone rests in the center of a border of old mine cut diamonds. The sapphire, which weighs approximately 3.91ct, is set in a milgrained bezel setting and surrounded by 10 sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds, weighing approximately .63ct tw. This placement of the stones create a beautiful flower-like design. On each shoulder of the ring is a Rose cut diamond, together weighing .02ct. The shank of the ring, which is 18kt yellow gold, creates an intricate mounting of wirework on the underside of the ring. The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in April 2012 and has a stated retail replacement value of $3,500.00. It's a beautiful ring and would look perfect worn everyday or could make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold and platinum setting and all of the stones are intact.
