Edwardian Platinum Topped 18kt Diamond & Pearl Pendant
A lovely diamond and pearl pendant from the Edwardian (ca1910) period! This beautiful piece is made of platinum topped 18kt yellow gold and adorns 2 natural pearls and old Mine Cut diamonds. The pendant begins with a single natural pearl with 2 diamonds set on each side of it. Hanging below the pearl are 5 sparkling Mine Cut diamonds that graduate in size. The first 2 diamonds are attached to the bottom of the pearl and the remaining 3 hang as a moveable link from the bottom of the top 2. Each of the 5 diamonds are bezel set in a platinum topped, milgrained setting. Attached to the largest, bottom diamond is another single, natural pearl that is slightly larger than the top. On either side of this pearl rests a petal-like shape with a diamond set in each. On the back of the pendant is a hidden double wire bail. This wonderful pendant could be worn as a everyday piece or would be perfect for a dressy occasion!
