Estate Elsa Peretti for Tiffany Sterling Silver Ring Necklace
Born in Florence, Elsa Peretti's first introduction with her collection began at Tiffany and Company in 1974. During that time her collection debuted to high acclaim. Her inspiration in jewelry making came from nature with elements such as bones, beans, hearts, scorpions, snakes, teardrops and sea-shells. Peretti's designs are translated in a wide variety of materials, however her most popular designs are her works in silver.
A lovely estate necklace designed by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Company! This simple yet stunning piece depicts a single sterling silver ring which hangs from a black silk cord. The silver ring is slightly pinched at the top and bottom and is thicker on the sides forming and oval shape in the center. The cord loops through the center of the ring and stylishly knots in the back for closure. It is marked "TIFFANY & CO.", "925", "SPAIN" and has the signature "ELSA PERETTI" logo on the back of the pendant. Designed and popular in the 1980's, it remains a classic piece today and would make a great addition to any Elsa Peretti collection!
Measurements: The open silver circle measures approximately 1" in diameter. The inside opening of the cirlce measures approximately 1/2" wide x 5/8" long. The length of the cord measures approximately 17" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver or to the silk cord. The knot closure of the cord is in good working condition.
