Estate Michael Good 18kt Double Loop Bangle Bracelet
Known as the pioneer of the "anticlastic raising" technique in metalwork, Michael Good is an accomplished sculptor and jewelry maker. He discovered how to take an open formed piece and make a tubular form, known as a "closed seam spiculum" which is represented in his 'loop' jewelry collection. His work is represented in galleries, stores and private collections internationally and his pieces are very beautiful and collectible, each being a true piece of art.
A striking Estate gold bracelet from the Michael Good collection! This fantastic piece is made of 18kt yellow gold and referred to as his double loop bangle. The piece forms a double loop coil that wraps around your wrist, made by anticlastic raising. The bangle has a smooth gold surface with an open seam that is visible along the entire exterior of the bracelet. It has a small amount of flexibility making it easy to slide onto most hand/wrist sizes. The bracelet is wonderfully designed and truly a piece of sculptural art. It would make a stunning addition to any collection!
Measurements: Due to the unusual design, the bracelet is difficult to measure however its approximate measurements are 1 5/8" tall with an outer diameter of slightly less than 3". The interior diameter measures 2 3/8" and the thickness of the bracelet ranges from 1/8" to 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of this bracelet is excellent. There is some light surface wear to the gold but it could easily be polished out and isn't noticeable when the bracelet is worn.
