An absolutely magnificent amethyst ring from the Georgian (ca1820) era! This gorgeous piece is made of 15kt rose gold and has a cabochon amethyst center stone. The stone, which is foil backed, has vibrant, luscious purple color and is set in a pinched bezel. A lovely carved design can be found on each shoulder of the stone and hand engraved initials can be found on the underside of the mounting. The shank of the ring is stamped “D.F.” This stunning ring would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurement: The ring has a small finger size 5 but could easily be resized if desired.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold mounting or to the amethyst stone.
