Late Retro Platinum Diamond Engagement Ring .82ct

An absolutely exquisite diamond engagement ring from the late Retro (ca1949) era! The center diamond stone, which is an Old Mine cut, has a total weight of .82ct and is set in a beautiful platinum setting. The color of the stone is G and and the clarity is VS1. The diamond is set in a 4 double prong setting and rests high about the finger. Set within the mounting are 4 additional round cut diamonds that weigh approximately .07ct tw. These diamonds have H-I color and VS range clarity. The inside shank is stamped "130 IRID .900 PLAT" and engraved "JBW to ... April 16, 1949 The ring was appraised by an independent and accredited Gemologist in March 2011 and has a stated replacement value of $9,500.00. It is an absolutely magnificent diamond and would make a beautiful engagement ring!

Measurements: The ring has a finger size 5.75 but it could easily be re-sized. When worn, the ring sits 1/4" atop the finger.

Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or diamonds and all of the stones are intact.
