Late Victorian 14kt & Diamond Encrusted Starburst Earrings
Stunning gold and diamond starburst earrings from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! These lovely earrings depict a single sparkling starburst which is made of 14kt gold and encrusted with diamonds. Each starburst has 38 sparkling old Mine Cut diamonds that surround a single larger center Mine Cut diamond stone which weighs approximately .35ct. The diamonds are set in a handmade 14kt white gold setting, which has a wonderful, slightly convex shape. The total overall diamond weight of each earring is approximately 2.50ct tw. The earrings hang from a bezel set old European diamond that connects to a modern 14kt yellow gold lever-back earring wire. It is very unusual to find diamond starburst earrings and these are particularly lovely. They would make any collection complete!
Measurements: Each diamond earring hangs approximately 1 5/8" long, is a little less than 1 1/4 at the widest point and has a depth of a little more than 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the diamonds are intact. The lever-back wires are secure and in good working condition.
