Late Victorian French 18kt Sapphire & Diamond Ring
A stunning sapphire and diamond ring from the late Victorian (ca1900) era! The piece, which is of French origin, is made of 18kt rosy yellow and adorns a round sapphire stone resting in the center of a border of diamonds. The sapphire, which weighs approximately 0.85ct tw, has a faceted face and rests high above the surrounding 12 old Mine Cut diamonds. Each side of the 18kt gold band has an ornate scrolled design leading up to the diamonds. The underside of the band is stamped twice, including a French eagle's head hallmark. It's a beautiful ring and would look perfect worn everyday or could make a stunning engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 7 but could easily be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold, and the sapphire and diamonds are all intact.
