An absolutely fabulous and rare Vintage Gucci necklace! Most likely from the 1980’s, this gorgeous piece has large links and a very bold look and was worn as a runway accessory in a Gucci fashion show. The chain consists of wood oval links that connect to one another through two holes in the center of each. The wooden Gucci links alternate with sections of wide 18kt yellow gold rings. The wood links and gold rings all vary in size, adding to the uniqueness of this necklace. One of the largest wood links, which hangs from the center of the necklace, is inlaid with 18kt gold to read “Gucci”. At the side of the piece is a gold clasp, which replicates a horse bit, is stamped “GUCCI” and “MADE IN ITALY”. This exquisite link necklace is very unusual and would make a fantastic addition to any Gucci collection!

Measurements: The chain measures approximately 24" long around the neck with the hanging links in the center of the necklace hanging approximately 5” long. The smallest wood link measures 3/4" long, 5/8” wide, and 1/4" thick. The largest wood link measures 2 1/2” long, 2 1/8” wide, and slightly more than 3/8” thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold rings or chips in the wood links. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
