Retro 14kt Ruby Emerald & Sapphire Clover Cat Pendant

A wonderful large clover charm from the Retro (ca1940) era! This beautiful and unusual piece is made of etched 14kt yellow gold and depicts a lucky four-leaf clover! One side of the clover is engraved “I’M LOOKING OVER”, while the other reads “A 4 LEAF CLOVER”. These words are the title of a song that was written in 1927, but became a hit for Art Mooney in 1948. The 4 is raised and below it rests a raised horseshoe.  Prong-set within the horseshoe are 5 vibrant ruby stones, while 3 prong-set emeralds can be found in the stem of the clover. Looking over the edge of the clover is a 3-dimensional curious cat. The cat is beautifully detailed with etched fur and sapphire eyes. Engraved on one of the clovers is “B.S. 5833”. This lovely piece is very unique and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The charm hangs slightly more than 1 5/8” long, measures 1 1/2" at its widest point, and 1/4" at its deepest. The charm has a pennyweight of 15.8 dwt.

Condition: The overall condition of the charm is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold and all of the rubies, emeralds and sapphires are intact.
