An absolutely fabulous double headed serpent necklace from the Retro (ca1940) era! This gorgeous piece is made of 18kt yellow gold and has emerald accents. The piece has a unique design, which has 2 serpent heads at each end of a scale-like gold band. The two heads wrap around each other’s bodies, creating a lovely twist at the front of the necklace and both serpents have two emeralds for eyes. The scaly mesh necklace is slightly flexible, and has a hidden clasp at the back. The underside of the serpent head is stamped with what appears to be a star, “252 W”, "750" and another hallmark. A fabulous piece, this necklace is a must have for any serpent collector!

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 17 3/4" long, but has added length when stretched. The necklace is 3/4" at its widest point and 3/8” at its deepest point. Each serpent head is approximately 1/2" wide, 1 1/8" long, and 1/4" thick.

Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold band or to the emeralds, all of which are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
