Retro Carved & Painted Ivory Devil Cufflink/Tie Clip Set
Fabulous and unusual decil cufflink and tie clip set from the 1940's! The set is of Japanese descent and each piece portrays a single hand painted devil face made of carved ivory. Because each piece is hand painted and carved, there are some slight differences in each but all are intricately and wonderfully detailed. Each cufflink has a sterling, swivel bar back which is stamped "950" and "SILVER". The tie clip is made of smooth sterling silver, which is also stamped "SILVER". All three ivory devil faces have a hand painted Japanese hallmark. Unusual and in excellent condition, this set would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each devil face plaque measures 5/8" wide, 7/8" tall and is approximately 1/4" thick. The silver bar back is 3/4" long, and 1/8" wide and 1/8" thick. The tie clip measures 2 3/4" long and 7/8" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the carved ivory faces or to the sterling silver.
