Victorian Cabochon Ruby Ring With Mine Cut Diamonds
A stunning Victorian (ca1880) ring. The piece, which is made of 18kt yellow and white gold, has a vibrant colored ruby stone and two diamonds. The center stone is an unheated cabochon cut natural ruby that measure 8.65 x 7.10 x 3.72mm and weighs approximately 2.50ct. There are two old mine cut diamonds on each side of the ruby that have a total weight of 1.80ctw. The diamonds are I-J color and VS1-VS2 clarity. The base of the ring and the setting around the ruby are yellow gold and the setting around each diamond is white gold. It is a very beautiful and ornamental hand-made setting. The piece also has an appraisal from an accredited, independent gemologist which states that the retail replacement value would be $24,000.00. It would make a gorgeous addition to any collection!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the metal and all of the stones are intact.
