Victorian 10kt & Diamond Star Spinning Locket Pendant
A lovely and unusual spinner locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Round in shape and made of 10kt rose gold, the locket hangs from a simple yet gorgeous spinner hinge. The spinner is comprised of two arched bars that come together at a scrolled top. The locket has a diamond encrusted star that is set within the face of the piece. The star has approximately 1/2ct tw of old Mine Cut diamonds which are bead set on each arm of the star. The other side of the locket has a smooth gold face. The locket opens at the top and is atttached at the sides to the hinged spinner giving you the ability to wear the piece showing either face. Attached at the top of the spinner is a gold "O" ring which is perfect for hanging from your favorite chain. The inside of the locket opens to reveal a glass covered spot for your favorite photograph. A wonderful piece, this would make any collection complete!
Measurement: Laying flat, the spinner locket measures approximately 1 3/8" long from the top of the "O" ring to the bottom and approximately 1 1/4" at the widest point. The locket measures approximately 1" in diameter and has a depth of a little more than 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold locket and all of the diamonds are intact. The spinning swivel moves easily and smoothly and stays in place. There are a few very minor dents in the gold on the back of the locket that are not apparent when worn. The locket closes securely and easily.
