Victorian 14k Watch Chain & Mixed Metals Slides
A simply wonderful Victorian (ca1880) watch chain and slides. This beautiful piece is comprised of a thick double ring handmade chain which is made of 14kt rose gold. Attached to the chain are 2 slides which look to be original to the piece. The slides are also made of 14kt rose gold and have a raised yellow gold floral design on the front of each. On the back of each slide is a complimentary etched flower design. At both ends of the chain are matching caps that carry the same yellow gold floral design as seen on the slides. Hanging from the center of the piece is an extension of the chain, which also has 2 matching caps at each end along with a large sized, modern spring ring. At the back of the chain is a watch swivel clasp which is marked "14". The spring ring is perfect for hanging your favorite pendant or locket from and it's a fabulous piece from the Victorian period!
Measurements: The chain of the necklace measures 20" long. The chain and spring ring extension in the center measures approximately 3" long. The modern spring ring has in interior diameter of 1/2".
Condition: The overall condition of the chain necklace and slides is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold chain, details or to the slides, which move easily along the chain. The watch swivel clasp and the spring ring are secure and in good working condition.
