Victorian 14kt Sparkle Copper Jasper & Micro Mosaic Earrings
Exquisite and unusual micro mosaic earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these lovely earrings is made of sparkly copper jasper stones which are set in a 14kt yellow gold setting. They have 2 graduating discs of jasper with intricate micro mosaic bird images inlaid into the center of each. The jasper links are framed in a 14kt wide twisted wire border and flowers detail the top and bottom of the larger stone. A single gold ball dangles from the very bottom of each earring, finishing them off beautifully and the color of the copper jasper is absolutely wonderful. They hang from a 14kt gold earring wire. The earrings are stunning examples of Italian Victorian artistry and would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: The earrings hang approximately 2 1/2" long, are 7/8" at the widest point and have a depth of 1/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting or earrings wires or to the copper jasper stones. The mosaics are missing a few very minor chips which is not uncommon for a Victorian micro mosaic piece; this is not noticeable when the earrings are worn.
