Victorian 14kt Gold Hanging Urn Earrings
Fantastic gold earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring is made of vibrant 14kt yellow gold and portray a simple yet stunning urn design. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional look, hang from a gold leaf surmount which is attached to the modern, clasped wires. Handles rest on either side of the urns and a gold bead sits at the bottom of each earring. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings would be great worn day or night.
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 1 1/4" long, is 3/8" at the widest point and 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold, wirework/beadwork detail or to the earring wires. There is a minor dent in the gold in the back of one of the earrings however this isn't noticeable when they're worn. The surface of the gold, surrounding the wirework design, has some natural patina which adds to the richness of the earrings.
