Victorian 14kt Gold & Natural Seed Pearl Earrings
Wonderful seed pearl earrings from the Victorian era (ca1880)! Each earring begins with a single natural pearl that is surrounded by wonderful 14kt yellow gold wirework and beadwork to form a flower-like link. Swinging from the bottom, are 2 stacked tassels that have 14 natural seed pearls dangling from each of them. Attached on the inside of the lower tassel are 3 chain links that are detailed with additional small seed pearls and are riveted into the top of 3 larger natural pearls. The earrings surmount attaches to a modern lever-back wire that is stamped "14K". The earrings have a delicate and wonderful design that looks lovely worn. The intricate wirework is simply fantastic and they would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/2" long and a little more than 3/8" at the widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and all of the pearls are intact. The earring wires are secure and in good working condition.
