Victorian 14kt Gold & Onyx Dangling Earrings
Fantastic gold and onyx earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each earring, which is very large in size, is made of 14kt yellow gold and is beautifully decorated with 3 dangling onyx stones. The earrings, which have a 3-dimensional design, hang from a round shaped onyx bead surmount which is attached to the earring wires. A horizontal bar-shaped pyramid hangs from the onyx bead and is set in a pronged gold frame. Hanging from this bar are 3 tear-drop onyx stones. The longest drop rests in the center, while the two side vessels are slightly shorter. Each tear-drop is capped in 14kt gold. Very light and comfortable to wear, these marvelous earrings look stunning on. They would make a perfect addition to any collection!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 1/8" long, is slightly less than 3/4" at the widest point and 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or to the onyx.
