The snake has been a powerful image since the Victorian era and continues to be popular even in modern jewelry. It has been an inspiration for jewelry design for ages, often used to symbolize eternity, everlasting love, life and protection.

This fabulous mixed metals snake bracelet is from the Victorian (ca1880) era and is simply marvelous! Made of 14kt gold, this beautiful piece has an ornate hand etched body that coils around your wrist. The underside of the bracelet is made of rose gold and the scaled top body is alternating hues of yellow, rose and green gold. The etched design represents the snakes scaled skin and the wonderful face. The head of the snake is decorated with a layered mixed metals gold leaf and two old Rose Cut diamonds represent its eyes. The snakes' mouth rests open which gives it a charming expression. The bracelet is hinged and clasps on the side and has a safety chain for added security. An unusual piece, the bracelet looks stunning on. It would make a perfect addition to any collection!

Measurements: The opening, where a wrist would rest, measures approximately 2 1/8" wide and slightly less than 1 3/4" tall. The width of the bracelet ranges from 1/4" on the underside to 7/8" where the head of the snake is.

Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. There are no apparent dents or scratches to the gold and both diamonds are intact. The hinge moves easily and the clasp is secure and in good working condition.
