Victorian 14kt Opal & Diamond Horseshoe Pendant
A gorgeous opal and diamond necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This beautiful horseshoe pendant is detailed with 9 cabochon opals, which interchange with 8 old Rose Cut diamonds. Bezel set in 14kt yellow gold, the opals graduate slightly in size and have exquisite color with vibrant hues or green, blue and pink. The tips of the horseshoe have 2 small rings where the chain attaches. It is connected to a modern 14kt yellow gold chain and the clasp of the chain is stamped "14K". A real beauty, this stunning piece would look lovely worn alone or with other pendants!
Measurements: The horseshoe measures slightly less than 3/4" tall, a little more than 5/8" at the widest point and has a depth of a about 1/8". The chain measures approximately 16 1/2" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the horseshoe is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting and all of the opals and diamonds are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
