Victorian 14kt & Pave Set Persian Turquoise Pendant
A gorgeous pendant locket from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This wonderful pave (French for pavement) set turquoise and 14kt yellow gold pendant is oval in shape and slightly convex. Cabochon turquoise pieces vary in size and color and cover the entire surface of the front of the pendant locket which hangs from a matching bail. A popular style in the nineteenth century, each turquoise stone is hand and bead set. On the back of the piece is an open back locket that has a black and white photograph of a woman and a glass cover. This wonderful pendant locket is a must have for the turquoise lover!
Measurements: The oval pendant and bail hang approximately 1 7/8" long, 1" at the widest point and a little more than 1/4" in depth.
Condition: The overall condition of the pendant locket is excellent. All of the turquoise stones are intact and there is no apparent damage to the gold setting besides a few very minor surface wear on the back.
