Victorian 9kt Gold Anchor Compass Charm/Pendant
A lovely Victorian sailors anchor compass pendant from the Victorian period (ca1880)! Made of 9kt gold, the piece portrays a 3-dimensional anchor and has a double-sided compass at its center. The compass, which is completely transparent, is encased in a gold bezel setting that depicts the shape of a sailing wheel. Resting atop the beautifully detailed piece is a gold ring, which is perfect for attaching to a necklace chain or braclet. The back of the anchor is stamped “9”, along with 2 other hallmarks. This fantastic piece would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The round compass has an approximate diameter of 5/8" and is slightly less than 1/4" thick. The anchor hangs approximately 1 3/8" long, and is slightly more than 3/4" at its widest point.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. The compass is in excellent working condition and besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold.
