Victorian 9kt Rose Gold Link Bracelet w/Heart Padlock
A beautiful gold link bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This simple yet wonderful piece is made of 9kt rose gold and comprised of 31 intertwined links. Smooth and textured sections of 3 links alternate with each other and come together at a heart-shape padlock clasp. The textured links have a light repousse surface and the clasp has a carved design on the face. A safety chain weaves through a ring at the top of the clasp which connects on either side of the linked bracelet for extra security. The underside of the bracelet has a smooth gold finish and each individual link is stamped "9C". The underside of the swinging padlock clasp has the English hallmarks "WHWL” and "9ct”. The hand wrought piece is very light in weight and comfortable to wear. The bracelet would look wonderful worn alone or paired with complementary link bracelets!
Measurements: The bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" in length and is slightly more than 1/4" wide. The padlock clasp measures about 7/8” tall, a little more than 1/2" wide, and 1/8” thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold links or to the stamped, textured surface. The heart-shaped clasp and safety chain are secure and in good working condition.
