Victorian 9kt Scottish Agate Necklace & Heart Locket
A stunning Scottish agate necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! The piece, which is made with 9kt gold, is comprised of 12 agate links with an agate heart locket in the center. The agate, which is carnelian, banded and moss agate, has beautiful hues of orange, green, black and brown. Each of the barrel links is capped at both ends in 9kt gold and connect to each other by a single gold "o" ring. The carnelian heart pendant is a padlock style heart which opens and can be easily taken off. It acts as the clasp of necklace and adds wonderful detail to the piece. On the back of the padlock heart is a glass covered locket face. It is a very unusual and beautiful Scottish agate necklace that would make a great addition to any collection!
Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 17.75" long. Each agate barrel link measures approximately 1" wide and is 1/4" thick. The heart locket pendant measures 1 1/4" tall, 3/4" wide and 1/4" thick.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the agate stone links and the heart padlock clasp is secure and in good working condition.
