Exquisite garnet earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each of these dramatic earrings begins with a foil back cabochon garnet stone surmount which is bezel set in 15kt yellow gold. A 14kt modern gold wire is attached to the top and swinging from the bottom is a larger, round foil back cabochon garnet stone. The stone is also bezel set in 15kt gold and has a thin flat border with scrolled wire and beadwork accents along the outside. A v-shaped gold link hangs from the bottom of the large garnet stone which is detailed with fine milgrained wirework in the center. Five spears swing from the ornate link which add wonderful and dramatic detail to the earrings. Each garnet stone has a gorgeous deep red color and is in excellent condition. They're absolutely stunning earrings and a must have for any Victorian garnet collector!

Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long and measures approximately 1" at the widest point. The larger garnet stones have a diameter of approximately 12mm with a depth of 1/4". The smaller stones have a diameter of .90mm with a depth of 1/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the garnet stones or to the gold setting or wires.
