An exquisite French diamond pendant from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This extremely large 18kt yellow gold pendant is simply stunning and very unusual. The piece, which has a rounded, medal-like shape, is decorated with a gorgeous textured surface and black enamel tracery throughout. It is richly detailed and has a three-dimensional look. Set within the center of the piece is a single starburst that is detailed with 21 old Rose Cut diamonds. The round center is surrounded by a border of additional Rose Cut diamonds and 2 diamonds rest in the 4 corners of the piece. Three ornate links dangle from the bottom of the large pendant, each carrying a complimentary design and detailed with 5 diamonds each. A large hinged gold bail rests at the top of the piece, making it perfect to hang from a thick Victorian chain. This outstanding piece looks stunning worn and would make a wonderful addition to any collection!

Measurements: The pendant hangs approximately 3 3/4" long, is 1 7/8" at the widest point and 5/8" thick. The interior of the bail measures 1/2" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold and all of the diamonds are intact. There is some normal surface wear to the enamel tracery which is not noticeable when the piece is worn and not unusual for a Victorian piece.
