A wonderful turquoise and pearl Hungarian necklace from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This delicate piece depicts a spectacular turquoise and pearl pendant which hangs from a sterling chain. The pendant is made of sterling silver and has a wonderful and feminine lace-like design. The surface of the silver in between the turquoise stones and pearls is detailed with subtle black and white enameling. Thin sterling chain is draped from the sides and bottom of the pendant and attached in 4 different places which gives the piece a wonderful, soft look. Swinging from the bottom is a thin sterling bar with a single pearl and a single cabochon turquoise stone set in it. A thin black and white enameled spear is also at the end. A sterling silver chain is attached on either side of the top of the pendant and clasps at the back. On the back of the pendant is also a flip down bail. It is a wonderful and unusual necklace and would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements:  The pendant measures approximately 1 7/8" long, a little less than 1 1/4" at the widest point and has a depth of 1/4". It hangs from a chain that is 18" long.

Condition: The overall condition of the pendant is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the turquoise stones, pearls or silver. There are a few very minor chips in the enameling which are not noticeable when worn. The chain clasp is secure and in good working condition.
