Victorian Large 15kt Gold Onyx & Enameled Earrings

Fantastic and unusual onyx and enamel earrings from the Victorian (ca1880) era! Each begins with a solid onyx ball surmount which has a 15kt gold wire riveted through it. Dangling from the ball is an open 15kt gold ring that has a black enameled surface. Looped through the center of this round link is a small gold ring. Attached to the ring is a gold chain with a single tear drop shaped onyx stone swinging from the bottom. Arched around the center open ring is a single piece of chain which hangs long on each side. It adorns 2 more tear drop shaped onyx stones that attach on either side of the ring and swing freely. These stunning earrings are very large in size and simply beautiful! They would make a great addition to any collection!

Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 3 1/8" long, is 7/8" at the widest point and is 3/8" at the thickest.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gold setting, chain or wires or to the enameled links. There are minor chips at the bottom of some of the tear drop shaped onyx links, however, they are not noticeable when worn.
