Victorian Large Sterling Silver Scottish Agate Arrow Pin
A stunning Scottish agate pin from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous piece is made of sterling silver and portrays a ring with a shooting arrow that weaves through its open center. The pin, which has a 3-dimensional look, is detailed with 8 pieces of Scottish agate which vary in color and shape. Each is set in a raised manner, with carnelian stones, moss agate, and what appears to be a yellow-toned banded agate. The surface of the silver has a simple and ornate etched design which compliments the agate stones wonderfully. On the back of the pin is a long pin clasp. A very special piece, this pin would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
Measurement: The pin measures approximately 2 7/8" at its widest, a little less than 1 1/8" tall and has a depth of 3/8".
Condition: The overall condition of this pin is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the agate or to the sterling silver setting. The pin clasp is secure and in good working condition.
