A wonderful watch chain from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This ornately decorated chain is made of silver and has two swivel watch clasps, 8 straight, open bar links and 10 alternating twisted silver links. Each of the 8 straight bar links is stamped with multiple hallmarks, and both swivel clasps are stamped “825” and “<G>”. A large spring clasp hangs from the center of the chain, which makes it easy to attach a locket or pendant. This fabulous piece would look great worn alone, or with a pendant or locket attached.

Measurements: The entire length of the chain measures 17 1/2" long. Each straight bar link measures 1” long and slightly less than 1/4" wide. Each twisted silver link measures 1/2" long and 1/8” wide. The spring clasp has a diameter of 5/8".

Condition: The overall condition of the chain is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver and all three clasps fasten securely and are in good working condition.
