Fantastic seed pearl, ruby and sapphire earrings from the late Victorian (ca1900) period! Each earring has a very unusual and fabulous design with rows of natural seed pearls and cabochon rubies and sapphires. The earrings, which are made of 800 silver, begin with a crown-like shaped surmount that is attached to a 14kt modern gold wire. The crown-like shape is lined with seed pearls and has a bezel set cabochon sapphire at the base and 3 cabochon rubies, also bezel set, at the 3 curved tips. Swinging from the bottom of the surmount is a bow shaped link that is again, lined with seed pearls with a cabochon ruby center and 2 rubies on the outside corners. Two small seed pearls dangle from the bottom sides of the bow link. Hanging from the bottom is a hollow vase-like shape that has twisted silver bars which are lined with seed pearls strung on wire. Within the center of this hollow link is an almost hidden swinging silver bar with a single seed pearl hanging from the bottom. At the very bottom of the earring hangs a single seed pearl to complete these fabulous earrings. The back of each earring is marked "800" along with another mark that I cannot read; please refer to the photographs. These delicate earrings are quite magnificent and are simply a work of art. They are fantastic Victorian earrings and a must for any collector!

Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 2 3/4" long and is 5/8" at the widest and thickest.

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the silver and all of the pearls, sapphires and rubies are intact.
